Our Students
In its first year (2009), SETSEP served 60 first-grade students and their parents in the fall and 60 kindergarten students and their parents in the spring for a total of 120 students and parents. Adding a grade each year we anticipate serving a total of 360 students and their parents and 30 teachers over the next three-years. The comprehensive approach of the program and the provision of direct services to students, parents, teachers, and the community will help build the knowledge base about what it takes to be a part of the future STEM workforce. Developing this knowledge base among a population that includes very young low-income children and their parents is considered one of the significant strengths of SETSEP.
